Sarah Hackenbracht

Vice President of Public Policy

Sarah Hackenbracht is the Vice President of Public Policy for the Greater Dayton Area Hospital Association. In this capacity, Sarah works closely with the President & CEO on local, state, and federal public policy issues that impact the region’s hospitals. She also facilitates workforce development issues and commutations activities for GDAHA by coordinating the hospital’s human resources directors and public affairs staff. Additionally, Sarah serves as the staff leadership for the Ethics Consortium.

Prior to joining the GDAHA team, Sarah was the Sr. Manager of Public Policy for the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce. In her role at the Chamber, Sarah provided staff leadership for the Dayton/Miami Valley Safety Council and represented the business community on small business, healthcare, and safety issues.

Sarah completed a B.A. in Political Science at Wright State University and received a Graduate Certificate from University of Dayton’s Emerging Leaders Program in 2008. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Administration at the University of Dayton.

Although Sarah is not originally from Ohio, she is committed to the success of the Dayton region and enjoys volunteering in the community. She currently serves on the Culture Works Associate Board and the Nominating Committee for the Junior League of Dayton. In the past, she has held volunteer leadership positions with the American Cancer Society, the Dayton Sister Cities Committee, and the Opera Guild of Dayton Board of Trustees.
