Bryan Bucklew
President and CEO
Bryan is the President and CEO of the association. He oversees general operations and management of staff. He is responsible for developing the annual work plan and identifying association initiatives. Bryan reports directly to the GDAHA Board of Directors and collaborates with them on a regular basis to define association objectives. He is also the liaison between GDAHA and legislators and community leaders. Additionally, Bryan serves as chief advocate for legislative issues. Under his leadership, the GDAHA team is able to focus on its core mission of quality healthcare for the region.
Prior to joining GDAHA, Bryan was the Vice President of Public Policy for the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce where he represented businesses interests on numerous local, state and federal issues.
He started his career as the District Director for U.S. Congressman Tony Hall where he was the local point person on issues dealing with Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, tax issues and healthcare reform.
Bryan is also very active in the community serving as Board Chair for the Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority, a board member of State of Ohio Transportation Review Advisory Council (TRAC), a board member for the Aids Resource Center and a trustee of the Miamisburg Planning Commission. In 2007, he will be Campaign Chair for Culture Works.
He lives in Miamisburg with his wife, Karen Sollars and their three children - Jenna, Meghan and Sam.
