Pat Bernitt
Vice President of Corporate Financial and Emergency Medical Systems
Pat has been the Chief Financial Officer for the association since 1979. She is "the original" GDAHA employee as she has been there since the association was officially incorporated.
Over the years, her role has shifted and expanded and now in addition to her corporate finance responsibilities, Pat also is the regional coordinator for the HRSA grant in West Central Ohio. She is a founding member of numerous organizations such as, Steering Committee of the Metropolitan Medical Response System and Regional Medical Response System (West Central Ohio), Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) and the Montgomery Greene County Local Emergency Response System (MGLERC).
Because of her role in emergency response systems, Pat is also an employee of the Department of Homeland Security.
Pat serves as the Director of Southwest Ohio Health Care Affiliates (SOHCA), the purchasing division of GDAHA. And, she is a board member and secretary of MAGNET (Mid Atlantic Group Network), a group purchasing organization.
When she's not working on finance and emergency response activities, Pat staffs the Infection Control, EMS Coordinators and Domestic Preparedness committees for GDAHA.
Pat has a wealth of experience; prior to joining GDAHA, Pat worked for MedAmerica, ParaMed Associates, Proctor and Gamble and Andrew Jergens.
Pat is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, where she studied at the University of Cincinnati. She then moved to Maryland and received her A.A. degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland, University College.
In her spare time, Pat and her husband, Chuck, like to tour the countryside on their motorcycle. They reside in Beavercreek and have an adult daughter, Erin, who lives in Centerville.
